Another non-Stimulus Bill
We have already spent $787,000,000,000 on a stimulus bill this year. That is, unless you take The Heritage Foundation’s approach. They have calculated the total cost of the stimulus bill at $3,270,000,000,000. How do they calculate this? Well, actually, they didn’t. Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) requestioned a study on the impact of the $787 billion bill from the Congressional Budget Office. As THF states, “the true 10 year cost of the stimulus bill $2.527 trillion in in spending with another $744 billion cost in debt servicing.” Now THAT is shocking.
Th-th-th-that’s not all folks! It seems the Democrats have decided that we do, in fact, need ANOTHER stimulus bill. With the federal budget deficit at approximately $1.4 trillion and the unemployment rate at 10% how can these people have the audacity to saddle the other 90% of us with another multi-billion dollar bill and possibly trillions more in debt? I’m starting to believe that they know they won’t be paying this off, but WE will.
The political system of this country is starting to extend its influence into every walk of life. They are now increasing the amount of debt that we owe without regard to what we want. I am having trouble wrapping my head around the fact that these people want to play god with not only our finances, but our lives. Can you?
